We abide by the rules as they apply in Europe and the Netherlands. These general terms and conditions are a supplement / extension to that.
Our webshop Wood, Tools & Deco is part of the Dutch company Wood, Tools & Deco, registered in the Chamber of Commerce under number 68627092. The VAT number of Wood, Tools & Deco is NL857525098B01. Through our webshop we sell products to individuals and companies from Europe. We work with a fulfillment company that processes, packages and ships the orders for us.
Wood, Tools & Deco's webshop editors compile the information you are offered with the greatest possible care. On the basis of new information, regular adjustments are made to the webshop or the products offered. No rights can be derived from an unexpected error in a description, availability or incorrect pricing.
We like to see ourselves as a modern (ict) company and strive for clear communication, fast deliveries and efficient solutions. Most processes are therefore fully automated with us.
This results in the following:
We only communicate via email or the contact form on our website, so not by phone. We ship all open orders throughout the day but at least 23:59 via the fulfillment company. This applies 7 days a week, so orders are also sent on weekends. Due to small scale, we have short lines with technical and logistical staff and are therefore usually able to switch quickly in case of problems or special requests. We are not tied to a fixed workplace or working hours, so you can expect a response by email, for example, at weekends and evenings.
All prices quoted for the products are in euros, including VAT and shipping costs. For all products the high VAT rate applies in the Netherlands (21%). All prices quoted are subject to price changes by suppliers, exchange rate adjustments and the like and can be adjusted by the webshop without prior notice. We follow the VAT rules as they apply in Europe. In almost all situations this means that we are obliged to charge VAT to our customers unless an entrepreneur from outside the Netherlands has a valid VAT number. In this case, the webshop will not automatically charge VAT (then the VAT will be deducted).
3. Delivery and payment
You can pick up your order from us (in Nieuwegein) or have it shipped to almost any address in Europe. An order is usually shipped with an automatically selected carrier, which can be, for example: DHL, PostNL, Fedex, DPD, GLS or Bpost. The choice depends on several factors, including the delivery address, cost and speed of a particular carrier. In some situations you might be able to choose a carrier yourself.
For shipping to Dutch, Belgian and German addresses (with the exception of the islands) no shipping costs are calculated, this is free of charge (included in the price of the product). For delivery to other countries, shipping costs will be charged.
The buyer is responsible for any additional import duties/taxes that might be charged by your country or the selected carrier. This will almost never be applicable for buyers from Europe, but buyers from outside Europe (Switserland for example) might be charged import duties/taxes.
Payment of the order will be handled in the webshop or through a payment link. Payment can be made using various payment methods including iDeal, Klarna (pay later), credit cards such as VISA and MASTERCARD and PayPal. For this we work with an external company (Mollie.com). All orders with us are therefore settled before the order is shipped. Klarna does offer buyers the opportunity to pay afterwards, or even in installments. For larger orders (above EUR 400, - excluding VAT) it might be possible to pay afterwards (for example 50% in advance, 50% afterwards). However, we are not a fan of this because this involves extra administrative actions. For this option and other special requests, you can always contact us by email or our contact form.
4. Cancel and change
Once placed orders can usually no longer be canceled or changed (think of a change of address due to a typo) because they are packed and automatically sent by the fulfillment company within a few hours.
5. Exchanges, Returns and Complaints
If for any reason you are dissatisfied with some or all of the products you have received, you can return them and then receive your purchase amount back. Only the return costs will then be charged to you. However, the products must be returned within 14 working days after you receive them. Wood, Tools & Deco will do everything within reasonable limits to replace damaged or incorrect products, but if replacement is not possible, the full amount you paid for the order will be returned as soon as possible but at the latest within 30 days. Some products may not be returned (for hygiene reasons, for example) or can only be returned in their original, closed packaging. If the refund has been delayed for longer than 30 days, it may be that your return shipment has not arrived at us, we recommend that you contact us in that case.

Exchange of products against other products is not possible with us for administrative reasons. You can, however, return products and then order replacement items yourself, which has, of course, been effective with almost the same result.
We do our utmost to serve you as quickly and efficiently as possible. If you still have a complaint about our products or our working method, you can submit them by email or via our contact page. Agreements between you and us apply exclusively to Dutch law.
